Stripe Account Setup (5 Minutes)

Create your Stripe account
Go to stripe.com → Sign up with your email. You'll need: legal name, address, bank account details for deposits, and (optionally) an EIN or SSN for tax purposes.

Navigate to Payment Links
From the Stripe dashboard, click "Payment Links" in the left sidebar → Click "+ New".

Create retainer links

Invoicing (When Clients Need a Formal Invoice)

Some clients — especially larger businesses or those with bookkeepers — will ask for a formal invoice instead of a payment link. Stripe handles this too.

Creating an Invoice in Stripe

Go to Invoices in the Stripe dashboard → Click "Create invoice"
